M'kay...struggling with software stuff lately and PP14's "export to GoZ" used to work flawlessly on my Old Windows 7 PC with ZBrush 4R7... a few months ago I started migrating over to my new Windows 10 PC and I didn't use GoZ for a while...4R8 came out and I happily upgraded to it and things were fine....UNTIL I tried to use GoZ in 4R8....NO WORKEE!!! It did not work in Poser, nor did it work in Maya 2014...it was wierd, as if Zbrush (Pixologic) had suddenly dropped all support for Poser and washed their hands...the link to GoZ in Poser is no longer active and the button to link to Poser from within ZBrush no longer exists...WTF!!! Any of you Poser users experiencing this? I backed out of 4R8...re-installed 4R7 and STILL NO WAY TO LINK TO POSER as there was in the version I had on the Windows 7 PC less than a year ago. Any thoughts you Poser and ZBrush users had would be nice...I suspect this is related to Windows 10, too...but its just as well because it is forcing me to get my Maya Rigs finished. I just get annoyed when "upgrades" break stuff that is working so well.

I don't normally jump on band wagons, but here I go! Eclipse...lots and lots of wailing and gnashing of teeth going on around the forced shift to the new format. Personally, I will start posting more on other platforms...when I start posting stuff again *ahem*. Working on transitioning to Blender
First I hope everyone is ok and not seriously affected by all the crazy sh*t going on these "daze". Things have been crazy for me personally and my time to work on stuff for DA has been limited for a multitude of reasons. As many of you know all my animations so far have been in Poser. I have been working for some time now on trying to get a rig built in Maya...still doing that but it's been a challenge and I keep hitting road blocks. So...since I can't seem to get enough road blocks in my life I am considering shifting to Blender. It is completely free and open source with a ton of support/info/tutes on their website. FYI, you can right click in a video and activate "Looping" which is a nice plus for cycles like my walking animation! I just figured that out! :o
To 3D or to 2D...uhm, yeah...
So, things have been a bit slow around here and it simply can't be helped at the moment. That said I want to tell you all a little bit about what has been going on and what my plans are (using the term "plan" very loosely). I started back to school last fall to get better at 3D animation art in general and it has been going really well. I am enjoying it as well as learning a lot. The gist of this is to beef up my Maya, Zbrush, et al software skills to make my own characters from scratch and animate them in a current/modern app, such as Maya, and move on from Poser. I just can't get pumped to work in Poser anymore when I know about things

So annoying and frustrating when such things as this happen. Usually it involves money! Someone wants more cash out of you! That's what I find sometimes. If only we could press a magic button and vanish such culprits away... Hey: I just pressed a key and I vanished?!?
